SLU launches a new PhD course on natural regeneration in Continuous cover forestry in September 2014. The base will be existing long-term CCF experiments in northern Europe.

Eligibility

This course is designed for PhD students in the fields of forest science and biology. 

 

The course is open to Swedish and international students. It is free of charge for PhD students at SLU.

The course will gain 3 ECTS credits after successfull attendance, comparable to one week full-time work during September.

ECTS credits

PhD students are supposed to read the introductory course literature. Participation in the lecturers, exercises and excursion in Umeå on       22-24 Sept 2014 is obligatory. After the meeting, an essay will be written to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the topic in the northern European context.
